ABOUT YOUR GROOMER

I was born & raised on a farm in South Dakota. I moved to the area in August 2021 with my husband, Mykel.  For most of my life, I've been involved in the animal industry, ranging from livestock to companion animals. I grew up on a ranch, have spent years working in veterinary medicine and animal care, as well as many other roles in the veterinary field.  I graduated college with a B.S. in Animal Science & a B.S. in Biology.  In 2016, while I was managing a boarding & grooming facility, I was given the opportunity to be mentored under a Master Groomer and AKC show breeder. Under their supervision, I earned my groomer certificate.  I have continued to pursue further education and additional certifications, and presently endeavor to achieve accreditation as a Certified Pet Aesthetician.

 

Recently, I moved my business to home-based grooming and am absolutely loving it!  The dogs are more relaxed and show more of their cute personalities with me. They have all of my devoted attention and with the calm atmosphere, they have shown me how much more comfortable they are with the grooming process.  The playtime after they are finished getting groomed, treats, and the cozy home atmosphere has them wanting to come and see me, which warms my heart! I love each and every one of “my” dogs!! (yes, they become “mine” the minute they step foot into my care!).
